Static site hosting is on the way.
We are building static-site and app hosting on top of the same infrastructure that runs Swyftstack databases and storage. It is in private preview and not available to deploy yet. Tell us you are interested and we will reach out as spots open up.
A real CDN-fronted host, when it is ready
The capabilities we are building for static-site hosting. Nothing here is live yet - this page will update as the preview opens up.
Publish the output folder of any static generator. If your build emits a folder of files, we plan to host it.
Connect a repository, pick a branch, and deploy on push. Webhooks trigger a redeploy for the branch you choose.
Describe the site you want and start from a generated static template you can refine and publish.
Every published site gets an HTTPS URL on a Swyftstack domain. Certificates are issued and renewed for you.
Bring your own domain with honest DNS and certificate status - a domain is only marked active once it really works.
Every publish is an immutable snapshot, with one-click rollback to any previous deploy.
Static-site and app hosting are private-preview features and are not part of the current Swyftstack plans. Managed Postgres databases and object storage are available today.
Static sites FAQ
Can I deploy a static site on Swyftstack today?
Not yet. Static-site hosting is in private preview and is being rolled out to a small number of accounts. It is not generally available, so you cannot self-serve a deployment right now. Request early access and we will reach out as preview spots open up.
What is planned for static sites?
Three ways to publish a fully pre-rendered site: upload the build output directly, connect a GitHub repository and deploy on push, or generate a starter site from a prompt. Every published site is planned to get an HTTPS URL on a Swyftstack domain with one-click rollback to a previous deploy.
Will custom domains be supported?
Yes, that is planned. Custom domains will require DNS verification and a real certificate check before a domain is marked active, so the status you see is always honest.
How is this billed?
Pricing for static-site and app hosting is not finalised and is not part of the current plans. Today, Swyftstack plans cover managed Postgres databases and object storage. We will publish hosting pricing before the feature becomes generally available.
Where can I host an app in the meantime?
If you need server functions today, run your app on a host that supports them and point its DATABASE_URL and storage endpoints back at Swyftstack. Managed Postgres and object storage are available now.
